The CW-34 (from Polish C iągnik E w akuacyjny ; literally in German: Evacuation Tug ) was a Polish light armored recovery vehicle from the 1950s that was based on the chassis of the T-34/85 . In VR Poland , the WPT-34 was the first armored recovery vehicle from its own production, although it was mainly based on the Czechoslovak VT-34 . Unlike the WPT-34 , the CW-34 were newly built vehicles.

technology

The 21-tonne CW-34 armored recovery vehicle was equipped with a winch at the rear and a manually operated crane. The non-swiveling crane boom is a simple construction with which a maximum of 1000 kg could be lifted. However, this is sufficient for replacing tank engines. There were square wooden and metal structures on the tank for the transport of spare parts. A large earth spur at the stern provided support when the winch was used. The CW-34 had a crew of five.

equipment

  • 1 winch
  • 1 crane with a maximum lifting force of max. 10 kN
  • Various tools
  • Handguns
