The Cabaray (also: Cabaray or Carabaya ) ( Quechua : Qhawaraya or Q'arawaya ) is a 5869 m high inactive Stratovolcano the west Bolivia near the border of North chile . He is 30 kilometers northwest of the salt lake Salar de Coipasa in the mountains Cordillera Occidental in the central Andes .

The Carabaya is located between the Isluga volcano (5516 m) on the Chilean side in the west and the Tata Sabaya (5385 m) in the east in the municipality of Sabaya in the province of Sabaya in the Oruro department .
