The Calambac Publishing is a 2011 founded German book publisher for fiction and graphic literature based in Saarbrücken .
History and program
The Madrid- based publisher Elena Moreno Sobrino studied philosophy , German , Romance studies and translation studies in Berlin , Saarbrücken, Valladolid and Paris . After many years of teaching and translating, she founded Calambac Verlag with the intention of recovering and graphically enriching texts by renowned authors, primarily from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The new editions by Elena Moreno Sobrino include the works of the Comtesse de Ségur , newly translated by Elena Moreno Sobrino and works by Hugo Ball .
The publisher's program focuses on bilingual ( Calambac Bilingua series ) and trilingual books ( Calambac Trilingua series ) as well as graphic literature ( Calambac Grafica series ) and graphically designed lyric texts.
