Calapooya Mountains

The Calapooya Mountains are a small mountain range in the southwest of the state of Oregon in the United States. It has a length of about 97 kilometers and is located west of the cascade chain between the places Eugene (north) and Roseburg (south).

The mountains separate the catchment area of the Willamette River to the north and the Umpqua River to the south. The highest point is the Scott Mountain (1295 meters above sea level ) 32 km northeast of Roseburg. The North Umpqua River flows along the southern part of the mountains. The summit chain is sometimes called the Calapooya Divide .

To the east, much of the mountains are part of the Umpqua National Forest and the Willamette National Forest .
