The Caleta Manterola ( Spanish ) is a 200 m wide, 500 m long and in the Antarctic summer ice-free bay in the southwest of Rabot Island in the archipelago of the Biscoe Islands west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located north of Monflier Point .
Your name appears for the first time on a Chilean map from 1962. Probable namesake is Dionisio Manterola Villarroel (1836–1879), who died as chief engineer on the ship Esmeralda under the command of Arturo Prat during the naval battle of Iquique on May 21, 1879 Life had come.
