The Caleta Neyt ( Spanish ) is a 700 m long and wide bay lined with ice cliffs on the north coast of Liège Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located in a northeast-southwest orientation about 1.3 km southeast of Moureaux Point .
Chilean scientists named it after the name of the neighboring Neyt Point . Its namesake is the General Neyt, a supporter of the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) under the direction of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery .
