The California State Route 118 (abbreviated CA 118 ) is a state highway in the US state of California , in the west-east direction through the Ventura County and Los Angeles County runs. East of Simi Valley , it crosses the northern part of the San Fernando Valley as the Ronald Reagan Freeway .

Ventura County

State Route 118 begins in Saticoy , Ventura County. The entire route runs parallel to US Highway 101 . On its western section it crosses Moorpark and Simi Valley . From here it continues eastwards, named since 1994 as the Ronald Reagan Freeway in honor of the 40th President of the United States Ronald Reagan , who is buried in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.

Los Angeles County

At the Santa Susana Pass , the State Route crosses the Los Angeles County border and reaches the San Fernando Valley . Up to the junction with Interstate 5 , the route also has carpool lanes . In the urban area of Los Angeles , the CA 118 intersects with Interstate 405 , the San Diego Freeway . The State Route ends at the intersection with Interstate 210 in Lake View Terrace , a district of Los Angeles.
