Callum Turner
Callum Robilliard Turner (born February 15, 1990 in London ) is a British film actor .
Life
Callum Turner was born in London in 1990 and grew up in Chelsea. He got his middle name Robilliard after the poet David Robilliard , who was friends with his mother and who died of AIDS in 1988. In a 2014 interview at the Cannes Film Festival, Turner stated that his mother inspired him to become an actor.
Turner began his career in 2010 as a model for companies like Next plc and Reebok. In 2011 he was featured in a campaign photographed by Mario Testino . He got his first film role in Zero by David Barrouk from the same year. This was followed by an engagement in the short film Human Beings by Jonathan Entwistle. In 2012 he was cast on the series Leaving along with actress Helen McCrory . In the same year he starred in the drama The Town on the side of Andrew Scott and Martin Clunes . In 2016 this was followed by an engagement for a television adaptation of War and Peace . In the film Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald's Crimes he got the role of Theseus Scamander .
In the course of 2018, Turner will release Shift the Plane, the second short film he has made.
