Calvin Smith (born December 10, 1987 ) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

In 2007 he won the North America-Central America-Caribbean Championships.

In 2008 he came in fifth place at the US Trials for the Olympic Games in Beijing and was then nominated as a substitute for the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 2012 he was US runner-up in the hall and won the 4-by-400-meter relay with the US team at the World Athletics Championships in Istanbul .

Calvin Smith is 1.80 m tall and weighs 73 kg. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and is trained by Mike Holloway. His father Calvin Smith was twice world champion in the 200 m and held the world record in the 100 m.
