The songs , the DJ QBert for Camel Bobsled Race together mixed by DJ Shadow were, composed , these compositions also samples from other musicians included. DJ QBert in turn modified the songs by scratching, among other things .

In the Camel Bobsled Race liner notes, Mo 'Wax founder James Lavelle wrote , "If you listen to this record, you'll understand why QBert is the best DJ when it comes to mixing and scratching records." And further: “I was the first to record DJ Shadow as a solo artist. But I have to admit that I wasn't doing my best when I picked it up. I hope that I can make up for these mistakes with this record. "
