Camilla Kallfaß

Camilla Kallfaß (born August 15, 1982 in Heidelberg ) is a German musical singer with a soprano voice .

Life and artistic career

Camilla Kallfaß, daughter of an actress and a psychologist, grew up in Freiburg im Breisgau , where she was already on stage in a children's circus with acrobatics, rope running and unicycling. After graduating from high school, in 2003 she danced in the opera production Carmen at the Stadttheater Freiburg . She was also an extraordinary student at Performing Arts Studios Vienna for half a year . From 2004 to 2008 Carmilla Kallfaß studied musical / show at the Berlin University of the Arts and passed her diploma with distinction. During her studies she worked a. a. with Ulrich Wiggers and presented himself to the Berlin audience in 2006 with the singing-acting-dance collage I'm doing well . Furthermore, during her studies she had her first engagement at the beginning of 2007 in the musical Cabaret as "Girl" from the Kit Kat Klub at the Staatstheater Cottbus , where the artistic director already noticed her with chansons in the supporting program. In 2007/2008 she played the role of Kitten in the world premiere of the musical Kauf Dir ein Kind by Peter Lund and Thomas Zaufke , a production of the Neukölln Opera, and sang in the published CD production.

From 2009 she sang, played and tapped for a year and a half at the Staatstheater Cottbus in the leading female role Reno Sweeney in Cole Porter's musical Anything Goes . She has worked as an actress in several short film productions. B. the film Sparrows was shown at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival .

From 2011 to 2013 she played Germany-wide in Faust - Die Rockoper the “Hexe, Frau Marthe, den Erdgeist, the Domina, etc.”, in 2012 and 2013 she also took on the leading role of “Gretchen”. In 2012 she appeared at the Burgfestspiele in Bad Vilbel as "Hattie" in Kiss Me Kate and "Maria Ross" in Sehnsucht nach St. Pauli . With Christian Bruhn she recorded the CD Jungpionier under the name "Camilla" .
