Camlog Biotechnologies AG is a manufacturer and supplier of systems and products for dental implantology and restorative dentistry based in Basel , Switzerland , while production takes place at Altatec GmbH, founded in 1995 and based in Wimsheim near Stuttgart in Germany .

history

The Camlog Group goes back to Altatec Medizintechnischeelemente GmbH, founded in 1994 in Wurmberg , Germany. After development by Axel Kirsch and Walter Dürr and practical tests by Axel Kirsch, Karl-Ludwig Ackermann and Gerhard Neuendorff, the Camlog implant system was brought onto the market in 1999 ( Cylinder-Line , Screw-Cylinder-Line ; Root-Line was added in 2000 , 2002 Screw-Line ). In 2004, Camlog Biotechnologies AG, Altatec GmbH and Camlog Vertriebs GmbH were founded in Basel; the production moved to Wimsheim. In 2009, the Screw-Line K series and the platform switching option were introduced. The Wimsheim location was expanded. In 2011 the Camlog implant system was supplemented by the Conelog implant system with a conical implant- abutment connection. In 2013, CAMLOG expanded its product portfolio with two new products, iSy by CAMLOG and DEDICAM, which were presented for the first time at the International Dental Show in Cologne. With the introduction of the two new brands iSy and DEDICAM, CAMLOG is reacting to the changes in the implant market.

Products

  • Camlog implant system : A characteristic element of the Camlog implant system is the implant-abutment connection, known as the tube-in-tube. This rotationally stable form fit with a groove - cam connection between the implant and the abutment should enable a simple and precise connection as well as a good distribution of force. Camlog Screw-Line implants are conical screw implants in their geometry and are available with Promote surface (1.4 mm smoothly turned implant neck portion) and Promote-plus surface (0.4 mm smoothly turned implant neck portion).
  • Conelog implant system : The Conelog screw line implants introduced in 2011 are equipped with a cone (7.5 °) in the internal configuration. Conelog abutments are apically provided with a cone and three cams and engage in the conical connection and the three grooves of the implant. The implant shoulder is not covered by the Conelog abutment (integrated platform switching). Conelog abutments are fixed with a Conelog abutment screw in the Conelog Screw-Line implant with a defined tightening torque . The implants also have a Promote-plus surface.
