Cammy Myler
Cameron "Cammy" Myler (born December 7, 1968 in Plattsburgh ) is a former American luge athlete .
Cammy Myler came into contact with luge during the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . Her uncle Michael Luce competed for the USA in bobsleigh as early as 1968 . She herself took part in luge competitions at the highest level between 1988 and 1998. She took part in the Winter Olympic Games four times, in 1988 , 1992 , 1994 and 1998 . Her best result was fifth in 1992, ninth in 1988, eleventh in 1994, and seventh in 1998. In 1994 she was allowed to carry the US flag during the opening ceremony.
In the overall World Cup, Myler finished second behind Susi Erdmann in 1991/92 and third behind Gerda Weißensteiner and Silke Kraushaar in 1997/98 . The American has won world cup races three times. At the 1995 World Cup in Lillehammer , she just missed winning a World Cup medal in fourth place. In 1995 she graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in geography and an undergraduate degree in medicine. She graduated cum laude .
