Development of the NHL

The Canadian Amateur Hockey League was an ice hockey league that was founded in 1898 and replaced the previously existing Amateur Hockey Association in Canada . The league lasted only 7 seasons and was replaced by the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey League in 1905 .
