The Cantrill Nunatakker are a small group of up to 1566 m high nunatakkers in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . They tower north-northwest of Mount Jenkins and northeast of Mount Ballard in the Sweeney Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey conducted surveys between 1961 and 1962. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2004 after the geologist David J. Cantrill of the British Antarctic Survey , who searched for plant fossils in the area in three Antarctic summer campaigns between 1999 and 2002 .
