The Capanna Piandios is a refuge in the municipality of Acquarossa in the canton of Ticino in the Lepontine Alps at an altitude of 1867 m above sea level. M. above sea level and lies at the foot of the Pizzo Molare .
History and description
The hut was inaugurated in 1963 and later expanded.
The hut has two floors with a lounge for about 35 people, two further rooms and an attic apartment. In the absence of the keeper there is the possibility to provide for yourself with the available wood and gas stoves and kitchen utensils. The toilets and running water with shower are in the building. The heating is done by wood, the power supply by solar cells. There is an outside area with tables and a fountain.
