The castle Kapfenhardt is a Outbound hilltop castle on a hill about 1750 m east of Kapfenhardt, a modern district of Weissach in Böblingen in Baden-Württemberg .

Historically, the castle was named as Villa Kaphenhardt in 1254 and later with the Lords of Enzberg as Castrum Kapfenhardt , who certainly owned the castle before 1283. In 1294 Heinrich von Enzberg, who was Ministerialer of the Bishop of Speyer , named himself after the castle and gave it to Maulbronn Monastery on May 6, 1299 .

The castle hill and the inner moat ring are still preserved from the former castle complex with a rounded castle hill and double moat ring.
