The castle ruins Döffingen denotes a Outbound hilltop castle on the 460  m above sea level. NN high point of the mountain tongue of the "Forchenwald" between Würm and Schwippe 700 meters west of Döffingen , a place in the municipality of Grafenau in the district of Böblingen in Baden-Württemberg .

The local nobles of Döffingen can be traced back to 1272-1447 and were probably servants of the Tübingen Count Palatine , which suggests that the castle was built in the 13th century.

Only a pile of rubble remains from the former castle complex. The field name Buschelberg (Buschel = Burstel = Burgstall) refers to the Burgstall .
