Oberbüchel is a place in the municipality of Engelskirchen in the Oberbergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany .

Location and description

The place is on the south-eastern outskirts of Engelskirchen an der Agger . Neighboring towns are Hardt , Unterkaltenbach and Miebach .

history

In 1413 the place was first mentioned with the name "Buchgel" in a combing invoice for Fronhof Lindlar. In the map Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, a single floor plan is shown in an enclosed courtyard. In the Prussian first recording from 1845 four separate floor plans are listed. With the official topographic map of 1896, the place name Oberbüchel is introduced.
