Hardt is a district of the municipality Engelskirchen in the Oberbergisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany .
Location and description
The place is about one kilometer east of Engelskirchen south of the Agger and the federal road 55 .

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1483, in a statement from the Fronhof Lindlar .

Churches and mosques
The district houses a Christian and an Islamic church. The Catholic Church is called the Holy Family and has a two-part bell. It was built according to plans by the Cologne architect Gerhard Derda, the foundation stone was laid in 1965 and the consecration in 1968. The high quality concrete glass windows were designed by Maximilian Bartosz, Constance. In August 2007 the Turkish-Islamic Cultural Association opened a new mosque on the B55.
