Savings bank
The savings bank of the municipality of Ründeroth, the historical forerunner of the current branch, started operations on April 1, 1882. As with other savings banks, the expectation was that the economically weak sections of the population would be able to accumulate assets in a modest way in order to reduce personal life risks. The first domicile was in Wallefeld until 1903, at the place of residence of the Rendanten Friedrich Gösser, who managed the institute as a one-man business. The location was opposite the confluence with Hermann Gösser Weg (son of Friedrich Gösser).
