Location and description

The place is on the northwestern outskirts of Engelskirchen in the valley of the Agger . Neighboring places are Albertsthal , Rommersberg , Steeg and the moated castle Haus Alsbach .

history

In 1413 the combing register for Fronhof Lindlar names the place with the place name "Storzelberch". In the map topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825, the place is recorded with a delimited courtyard and the place name Stürzenberg. The topographic map from 1957 shows that the development of the town of Engelskirchen has come as far as Stürzenberg.
