Location and description

The village belonging to the Loope district is located southwest of Engelskirchen in the Agger valley . Neighboring towns are Kastor and Staadt .

history

In 1487 the place was mentioned for the first time in a list of loans for Duke Wilhelm III von Berg . In 1896 the topographic map shows a mine with a machine house to the northeast of the village. In 1933 the tunnels of this mine are marked as closed.
