The Cape Confusion (English for Verwirrungskap is) a rocky headland on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 6 km north-west of Cape Russell in the south-western part of the Northern Foothills and protrudes into the Hells Gate strait .
The southern group of a 1962-1963 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition visited the headland and gave it its name. The complex geological structures in this area give it its name.
