Capharnaum is a technical death metal band from Sanford (Florida) . Some members also play in other bands, such as Mike Poggione ( Monstrosity ) and Matthew Heafy ( Trivium ).
history
Capharnaum was founded in 1993 by Jason and Jordan Suecof, who are the only constant members of the band. In 1997 the band released their debut album Reality Only Fantasized . A year later, they recorded the Plague of Spirits demo . In 2004 they released the album Fractured , which was recorded in the Audio Hammer Studios by Jason Suecof, on the label Willowtip Records .
style
The music of Capharnaum is described as a mixture of Nile and Obituary . The demanding, technical playing style of the pieces is particularly characteristic. The band also draws on borrowings from jazz .
