The Capilla Real is the royal chapel, the southeastern extension of the cathedral of Granada , in which the remains of the Catholic kings Ferdinand II and Isabella of Castile and those of their daughter Joanna of Castile and the son-in-law, the Habsburgs Philip the Fair , as well as the already with Crown Prince Miguel da Paz who died two years ago .

The building, which was built between 1518 and the 18th century, combines stylistic elements from the Gothic , Renaissance and Baroque periods . In the adjoining sacristy museum, panel paintings are exhibited, including works by the Renaissance masters Botticelli and Perugino as well as by the old Dutchmen Dierick Bouts , Rogier van der Weyden and Hans Memling .
