Norad did it: he blew up the HIGHLANDER using an incorrect computer input. But the space fleet relentlessly constructs a new ship, the HIGHLANDER 2404-A, which it in turn places under his command. During a visit to a friendly planetary system, the captain is kidnapped by a gang of terrorists who believe they can extract important secrets from the fleet. But the result is more than disappointing - and we finally learn how it can be that such a fool is allowed to command such a large spaceship.
