Cara Speller is a British film and television film producer.

Career

Speller's film career began in 2001 when she was the producer responsible for the short film about Robbie Williams . This was followed by collaborations with the band Gorillaz, which she supervised in music videos or during their stage appearances and their recordings as an executive producer .

Her best-known collaborations include the animated short films Pear Cider and Cigarettes and Pearl . Both films were at the Oscars 2017 in the category of animated Best Short Film nomination. As she was Executive Producer at Pearl , the nomination went only to Patrick Osborne . For her work on Pear Cider and Cigarettes , Speller and director Robert Valley received an Oscar nomination at the same ceremony . However, the award went to Alan Barillaro and Marc Sondheimer for their contributionPiper .
