Caraboo is an Austrian Schlager party band from Carinthia and East Tyrol . The group mainly produces hit melodies and songs from German hits. Live they play well-known and their own hit songs , party music, pop and rock music as well as current chart hits .

history

The band was founded by the two former Carriére members Reinhard Schlacher and Christian Dullnig in 2000. After the dissolution of the Austrian hit band Carriére, the two Carinthians founded a new formation with the two East Tyroleans Michael Mariacher and Markus Zlöbl. This should focus on a complete restart. Until 2005 the four stood on stage as "RSB".

In May 2005 they achieved 4th place in the Austrian preliminary decision of the Grand Prix of Folk Music in Vienna under the name “Carriére” with the song Du . At the final in Zurich they performed at the finals of the Grand Prix of Folk Music for legal reasons under the name “Caraboo” in front of an international audience.

Shortly thereafter, the first joint album was released , entitled Wie ein Stern am Himmel im wide Himmel . With the single of the same name Caraboo could be seen again on television. Several singles have been released since 2006 . Caraboo achieved a top ten position in the airplay charts in 2007 with the song Lieben ist . In the summer of 2009, Pythagoras reached a high position in the airplay charts.

In 2010 the band went back to the studio to produce a second album. All instruments were played live and by hand. Finally, in September, One Fine Day was released. In 2012 Caraboo covered an old Carriére song I trade your tears for my love .

Michael Mariacher left the band in March 2013. His successor Martin Lackner was a founding member and singer of the former hit band Carriére with Reinhard Schlacher and Christian Dullnig.

In February 2017 they parted ways again: Martin Lackner left the group and the quartet became a trio, consisting again of Reinhard Schlacher (guitar, vocals), Christian Dullnig (drums, vocals) and Markus Zlöbl (guitar, bass, vocals ).
