Attractions

In Cardross there are three monuments from the highest Scottish monument category A. The former Catholic seminary St Peter's College is located in a small wooded area on the northern outskirts. It is one of the most important buildings of brutalism in Scotland and, despite its construction in 1966, is only preserved today as a ruin. Also north of the village is the Catholic St Mahew's Chapel . It is believed that church buildings have stood on this site since the 6th century. The church preserved today dates from the 15th century. On the grounds of Kreditith House, about three kilometers northwest of the village, there is the Kreditith Dovecot , a listed pigeon tower from 1790.
