Carina Alexandra Militaru (born January 11, 2001 ) is a Romanian ski jumper .

Career

Carina Militaru started internationally for the first time in two competitions of the FIS Cup in Râşnov , in which she finished ninth and tenth. Since then she has regularly participated in other FIS Cup competitions in the following years; her best placement was two fourth places. Militaru made her debut in Falun in the Continental Cup on March 1 and 2, 2014 , where she finished tenth and twelfth and thus achieved her first Continental Cup points. The placements were also her best in the Continental Cup. Despite several attempts to qualify, she did not make a debut in an individual ski jumping World Cup competition. On December 16, 2017, she finally made her World Cup debut as part of the team competition in Hinterzarten , in which she competed with Bianca Elena Stefanuta , Andreea Diana Trâmbițaș and Daniela Haralambie and took eleventh and last place for Romania.

In the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons, Militaru won the overall ranking of the FIS Carpath Cup .

At the Romanian Championships in Râşnov in 2018 , Militaru won the gold medal in the individual competition on the normal hill.

At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2017 in Erzurum , Militaru came ninth in the individual competition. In addition, she started in the individual and team competition at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2018 in Kandersteg , but did not achieve any top placements.
