Carina Hasenöhrl

Carina Hasenöhrl (born February 4, 1988 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is an Austrian gymnast.

Career

Carina Hasenöhrl started her career in 1996 at the Klagenfurt KTC gymnastics club. From 2001 to 2003 she moved to the Romanian Olympic base in Deva . After the training group there was disbanded, she moved to the Netherlands, where Carina Hasenöhrl trained with Frank Louter in 2004, first in Alkmaar and from summer 2004 in Zoetermeer .

In 2006, a cervical fracture was followed by a setback in her career. Despite this injury, Hasenöhrl made the comeback. In her first competition after the injury break on June 16, 2007, she suffered a cruciate ligament rupture . She announced her retirement from competitive sports on July 16, 2007.

Carina Hasenöhrl occupied first place in the ÖFT rankings from July 15, 2003 until the end of her career . She is 10 times Austrian national champion and was the Dutch vice national champion on the ground in 2005 and 2006. In 2006 she was also able to win the Dutch national championship in jumping. She also took part in two European championships (Amsterdam 2004, Debrecen 2005) and three world championships (Anaheim 2003, Melbourne 2005, Aarhus 2006). Carina Hasenöhrl achieved her best result in the World Cup in 2005 when she finished fifth in Glasgow.
