architecture

In the Volksgarten district, there is a free-standing two-story brick building on a nested, angular floor plan within a larger garden area . Each different design and structure of the individual facade fronts . The gable facing south, north and west of the house are designed as equivalent main facades. The gables are each designed as a floating gable in a wooden construction. As a common horizontal structure a surrounding block cornice; as vertical reinforcement, corner reinforcements in the form of pilaster strips . The wall surface of the south facade opens two axially arranged windows on each floor .

Those on the first floor are arched with a brick crowning profile ; the windows on the upper floor are arched with a brick roof. The gusset between this and the west facade is filled by a single - storey timber-framed component with a small window opening.

The structure of the west facade, the facade facing Carl-Diem-Straße, is made on the ground floor by a single window with a shutter - similar to that of the south facade - and on the upper floor by a round-arched triple window, the smaller side openings of which are formulated as blind windows . The gusset to the north facade takes up the loggia-like with a wooden structure roofed house entrance. If the design varies in detail, the north facade corresponds to the formation of the west facade.

The ground floor window with shutters is wider and the upper floor window is completely open as a group of three windows with a block sill. Oriented towards the eastern garden side, there is a single-storey extension under a gable roof . Analogous simple structure with one window and one door opening each.
