Carl-Eugen Eberle

Carl-Eugen Eberle (born June 17, 1946 in Lahr / Black Forest ) is a German lawyer and former professor at the University of Hamburg.

Life

Eberle studied from 1966 at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg Law . In 1966 he was sent to the Corps Palatia-Guestphalia . He later moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where he completed his studies in 1970 with the first state examination in law. After the subsequent preparatory service in Regensburg, he passed the second state examination in 1974. With a thesis on Wilhelm Steinmüller , he was in 1976 at the University of Regensburg to Dr. iur. PhD. Eberle completed his habilitation in 1982 at the University of Konstanz . He received the Venia legendi for the subjects of public law and administrative science. 1983/84 Eberle took the chair at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer . From 1984 to 1990 he held the chair for public law and administrative sciences at the University of Hamburg . In 1990 he moved to ZDF as chief legal advisor . He retired there in 2011. From then until the end of 2018 he was honorary chairman of the German National Committee of the International Press Institute (IPI) in Vienna.
