Winfried Brohm

Winfried Brohm (born March 4, 1932 in Karlsruhe ; † August 10, 2012 in Konstanz ) was a German lawyer and university professor.

Life

Winfried Brohm studied law and economics at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1958 he was in Heidelberg with a thesis on the enforcement standards and legal development rights to a doctor of law doctorate. After the first and second state law exams, he completed his habilitation in 1967 at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg ; he was considered a student of Horst Ehmke . In 1968 he taught as a private lecturer at the University of Freiburg and had lectureships at the Universities of Marburg , Mannheim and Gießen .

In 1969 he was appointed full professor at Bielefeld University. In 1973 Brohm was offered a chair for constitutional and administrative law at the University of Konstanz . In 2000 he was retired. In 1975/76 he was spokesman for the law department in Konstanz.

Winfried Brohm was also a part-time judge at the Administrative Court of Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim (VGH BW) from 1975 to 1988 . Since 1952 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Arminia Heidelberg .

Act

Brohm's main area of ​​teaching and research was constitutional law, administrative law, public business law, planning law and administrative sciences. He has published numerous books and over 100 scientific articles. In 2002, Carl-Eugen Eberle , Martin Ibler and Dieter Lorenz honored his scientific achievements with an extensive commemorative publication The Change of the State Facing the Challenges of the Present .

He was a member of the Association of German Constitutional Law Teachers .
