Carl Arthur Richter

Carl Arthur Richter (born February 6, 1883 in Leipzig , † December 13, 1957 in Lenzburg , Canton Aargau , Switzerland ) was a German-Swiss composer and conductor .

Life

He completed his studies at the Conservatory in Leipzig a. a. with Max Reger . He gained orchestral experience and worked as a teacher in various places. In 1909 he moved to Lenzburg, Switzerland. There he was the municipal music director and also the piano teacher of the future composer Peter Mieg . At the Aargau Music Association he devoted himself to conducting training and wrote a small booklet on the catechism of music by JC Lobe for the practical conducting course at the Aargau Music Association .
