Carl August Schröder (politician, 1819)

Carl August Schröder (born November 25, 1819 in Hamburg ; † January 3, 1902 there ) was a German judge and member of the Hamburg parliament.

Schröder's father was the senator Christian Matthias Schröder , his grandfather was the Hamburg mayor Christian Matthias Schröder . In 1854 he married Albertina Maria Kellinghusen (1837-1910) a daughter of the mayor Heinrich Kellinghusen , Carl August Schröder was his son.

Schröder completed his legal studies in Heidelberg in 1843 and established a lawyer in Hamburg that same year. In 1869 he switched to civil service and became a judge at the lower court. In 1879 he was promoted to district judge and worked as such until his retirement in 1894. He was a member of the Hamburg citizenship from 1859 to 1865.

At Planquadrat U 21 in Hamburg's Ohlsdorf cemetery (south of Nebenallee , east of Chapel 2) there is a pillow stone for Carl August Schröder next to that of his wife Albertina Maria Kellinghusen.
