Carl Dahl (painter, 1810)
Carl Ferdinand Dahl (born February 13, 1810 in Berlin ; † May 2, 1887 in Osnabrück ) was a German landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
Dahl began his artistic training in Berlin. From 1833 to 1838 he attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There he studied in Johann Wilhelm Schirmer's landscape class . From 1857 to 1866/1867 Dahl was a member of the artists' association Malkasten . In 1884 he applied for a patent in Danzig for a process for the production of sulphate paste, which was used for the production of kraft paper .
