Carl DeMaio
Carl DeMaio (* 14. September 1974 in Dubuque , Iowa ) is an American politician of the Republican Party .
Life
DeMaio attended St. Catherine's Academy in Anaheim , California . He studied politics and economics at Georgetown University . In 2002 DeMaio moved to San Diego. From December 2008 to December 2012, DeMaio served on the San Diego City Council. On November 4, 2014, he narrowly failed in the election for the United States House of Representatives in 2014 as a member of the United States House of Representatives ; he was subject to the previous MP Scott Peters in his constituency in the north of the city of San Diego. DeMaio is an openly gay community in San Diego .
