Carl-Franz Hutterer (born January 27, 1939 ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Hutterer trained as a photographer at Otto Steinert and then worked for a press agency in Paris . In the early 1960s he became a cameraman for ZDF .

Hutterer achieved his first international success in 1970 with the Adolf Grimme Prize- winning documentary Just Easy Fights in the Da Nang Area and the documentary 20 miles before Saigon , both by director Hans-Dieter Grabe . He also worked frequently with the Austrian filmmaker Georg Stefan Troller . In 1982 and 1986 Hutterer was awarded the German Camera Prize. From the mid-1980s he collaborated in numerous productions with Hartmut Schoen , including the award-winning works Phantom-Fieber (Grimme Prize with gold) and Kälte, Mord und Perestrojka ( Bavarian TV Prize ).

In 2008 Hutterer was awarded the honorary prize for his life's work at the German Camera Prize. In 2012 he received a star on the Berlin Boulevard of Stars .
