Carl Fredrik Hagen (born September 26, 1991 ) is a Norwegian cyclist who used to be a triathlete (U23 world champion winter triathlon 2013).

Athletic career

Triathlon until 2013

In his youth, Carl Fredrik Hagen was active in running, cross-skiing and winter triathlon (cross-country skiing, mountain biking and cross-country skiing).

In 2011 he finished third at the U23 World Championship Winter Triathlon in Finland and in February 2013 he became U23 World Champion in this discipline in Italy.

Cycling since 2013

In 2013, Carl Fredrik Hagen started road cycling for the first time at the national championships, where he finished 54th behind Thor Hushovd .

From 2015 to 2018 he cycled for Norwegian Continental teams and won his first international elite race on the road with the overall ranking of the Tour du Jura Cycliste 2018.

Hagen then moved to the UCI WorldTeam Lotto Soudal , for which he contested his first Grand Tour with the Vuelta a España 2019 and finished eighth in the overall standings.
