Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Schall

Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Schall (* 1756 in Erfurt ; † 1800 ) was a German lawyer and geologist .

Life

Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Schall worked at the end of the 18th century as a government and court advocate as well as overseer of the mineral cabinet of the Imperial Leopoldine-Carolinian German Academy of Natural Scientists in Erfurt.

For his two writings Oryktological Library according to geographical order and instructions for the knowledge of the best books in mineralogy and physical description of the earth , the Ilmenau mining secretary and later mountain burr Johann Karl Wilhelm Voigt wrote the preface.

On May 2, 1791 he was registered under the registration number. In 932 accepted into the Imperial Leopoldine-Carolinian German Academy of Natural Scientists with the academic surname Salustius II .

Two letters to Heinrich Friedrich von Delius have survived from his correspondence .
