Carl Gabriel Yorke , also known as Gabriel Yorke , (born November 23, 1952 ) is an American actor.

Life

Yorke studied with Uta Hagen and performed on a tour of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest . He became known in 1980: Carl Gabriel Yorke played the central leading role alongside Robert Kerman in the horror film Cannibal Holocaust . Along with Luca Barbareschi , Francesca Ciardi and Perry Pirkanen, Yorke was one of four actors whom the Italian police believed had been murdered in the making of the horror film. The film was so realistic that shortly after its release, its director Ruggero Deodato was arrested for murder. The actors had signed contracts not to appear in the media for a year. So rumors should arise that the film is a snuff film . The court was only convinced they were alive when the contracts were canceled and the actors appeared on a TV show as evidence.

Gabriel Yorke later played a guest role in the series Denver-Clan (1984) and from 1983 to 1984 the role of Berger in the TV series The Paper Chase . Other film roles were his Gordon Layton alongside Danny DeVito and Reese Witherspoon in My Father - My Friend (1993), his chaperone in the horror comedy The Killer Hand and the supporting role of a SIM technician in Apollo 13 . Gabriel Yorke played mainly in TV productions, including 1993 as Detective Sherman in New York Cops - NYPD Blue .
