Carl Haarmann (General Director)
Carl Haarmann (born February 23, 1865 in Bochum , † May 4, 1950 in Langenberg (Rhineland) ) was a German industrial manager.
Life
Haarmann graduated from high school in Bochum in 1883 and then studied mining in Bonn and Berlin . In Bonn he was a member of the Corps Rhenania . In 1887 he became a mountain trainee, in 1892 a mountain assessor and unskilled worker at the Friedrichsthal mining inspection near Saarbrücken. In 1898 he became mining inspector, in 1899 mine director of the Bergwerks-AG Königsborn in Bad Königsborn near Unna, in 1907 mine director of the minister Achenbach colliery in Lünen and all ore mines of the Stumm brothers in Neunkirchen (Saar) . From 1917 he was general director and board member of the Stumm'schen Bergverwaltung in Lünen- Brambauer . In 1937 he retired. Haarmann was also chairman of the supervisory board of the Gesellschaft für Kohlentechnik mbH in Dortmund-Eving.
Carl Haarmann was also active in local politics as a councilor for the Brambauer office and a member of the Dortmund-Land district council.
The shafts 3/4 of the minister Achenbach colliery were named "Carl-Haarmann-shafts" from 1935. Karl-Haarmann-Strasse was named after him in Lünen-Brambauer .
