Carl Jakob Sutermeister
Carl or Karl Jakob Sutermeister (born January 4, 1809 in Zofingen ; † January 6, 1853 there ) was a Swiss flower , portrait and animal painter .
Sutermeister was the son of Maria Anna Ringier (1780–1840) and the iron trader Gottlieb Heinrich Sutermeister (1773–1844). From 1829 he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and then took part in Swiss art exhibitions. In 1839 he published a magnificent work of flowers with 40 sheets for drawing flowers .
