Carl Merznicht

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carl-Valentin Merznicht (* December 15, 1898 ; † after 1960, presumably in Berlin ) was a German actor , assistant director and singer on stage and film.

Live and act

Merznicht can only be proven as a stage actor very late, when he appeared as a member of the Munich theater on Gärtnerplatz in the early 1930s. Soon afterwards he turned completely to the film and played there small roles in which he was occasionally able to prove his singing talent. During the Second World War, Merznicht was no longer offered any film roles and instead began to work as an assistant director in films ( Stukas , Junge Adler and A Happy House ). Until 1960 Merznot still resided in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
