Leimbühlholz is located in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen, west of the Bonholz, between the Bonholzbach in the south and the Aubach in the north along a local road.

With this name, there are two officially named municipal parts of the municipalities of Haibach and Haselbach in the immediate vicinity, separated by the opening road.

The village of Leimbühlholz is part of Haibach in the Landasberg district . It is located about two kilometers southwest of Haibach, one kilometer northeast of Haselbach and east of the municipal road that marks the municipal boundary between Haibach and Haselbach.

Since 2005 there has also been a part of the Leimbühlholz community in the Haselbach community . At the request of the municipality, the Straubing-Bogen district office issued this sub-municipality name for five land numbers in the Haselbach area west of the street on October 4, 2005.
