from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Theodor Bernhard Richard Oswald Rocholl , occasionally also Theodore Rocholl (born July 29, 1891 in Düsseldorf , † October 8, 1978 in Berlin ), was a German actor in the theater, film and television. He also worked as a translator.

Live and act

The son of the painter of the same name attended the theater school of the Deutsches Theater Berlin in Berlin in the early 1910s and was offered both his first theater roles and his first film roles in 1912/13 under the direction of Max Reinhardt . Follow-up engagements followed to Frankfurt am Main, to the Tribüne Berlin and from 1921 to 1929 to the Albert Theater in Dresden. In between, Rocholl went on tour tours and worked on the radio. During the Second World War he went on tours in the Wehrmacht and also took part in two films. After 1945 Rocholl could be seen again at Berlin venues such as the Titaniapalast youth stage and the Hebbeltheater. In addition, he has now taken on multiple synchronous roles. Theodor Rocholl hardly appeared in front of the camera.
