Carl Niermann
Carl Niermann (* 1832 in Höxter ; † January 10, 1896 in Berlin ) was a German architect and construction clerk .
Carl Niermann, the son of the architect Konrad Niermann in Westphalia, studied at the Bauakademie in Berlin after graduating from high school in 1851 . In 1854 he made the master builder examination . From 1865 he was a royal master builder in Berlin. In 1867 he was promoted to building inspector and in 1875 to building councilor. His works in Berlin are the Matthias Church, built in 1868 (from 1921 Matthias Chapel, from 1928 St. Ludgerus, today St. Jacob ) in Potsdamer Straße 37 (today 94) and the 1869 conversion of an old boiler shop in Turmstraße 42 to the Dominican Church St. Paul (demolished in 1891 for the new building at Oldenburger Strasse 46).
