Carl Ostermünchner

Carl Ostermünchner, 1848

Carl Ostermünchner (born August 24, 1813 in Passau ; † July 26, 1868 in Bad Griesbach im Rottal ) was a German beer brewer and politician.

Life

Ostermünchner was the son of a butcher. He studied law in Munich from 1834 to 1837 , where he became a member of the Corps Bavaria , one of his contemporaries being Joseph Wagner . In 1837 he became an intern at the regional court and rent office in Griesbach, but then left the judicial service and settled in Griesbach in 1843 as a beer brewer, restaurateur and property owner. In 1858 he became a board member of the Association for the Elevation of Horse Breeding in Lower Bavaria.

Ostermünchner became a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly on May 18, 1848 , of which he was a member until December 28, 1848.
